Heart for Bait (HFB) is a 4 piece stoner / doom band out of northern Bergen County in NJ. We feature 2 guitar attack and great drumming. The band sound-wise is equal parts early 70s heavy blues and 90s metal...we are all about THE RIFF. In just a few months our Instagram following has grown to almost 1,700, and we average 150 likes on our posts. We are very lucky to have stayed together through COVID and the plan is to release a new tune every quarter.

A while back I reviewed a Willow Ash album for RavensBane Magazine. I really enjoyed it, but said I wished there had been more "Cradle My Sig" style songs on the record. House of Earth: Retrospect scratches that particular itch, even if most of the album is at a slower tempo. Here Guest is playing to all his strengths. The music is heavy, sludgy, and raw with interludes of weirdness and samples that fit the overall feel of the record. The vocals are spot on blackened death-doom screams.
