Excuses for his truth
Not a slight case of understanding

The Hermit cares for no one
But his own presence in his room
A god in his own universe
The apostle of gloom
His eyes have seen and witnessed
The bluntest of pains there is
The meaning of non-existence
The shadow behind a kiss
All the paths are bleeding highways
Filled with people forlorn
Bridges burn at twilight
As their faces burn with scorn
Take a good look in the mirror
You might see a Hermit too
A deserted piece of somebody’s past
Oh what a waste of youth
Truth does not hurt
When you’re only used to the pain
You don’t expect anything good
From machines in people’s flesh
Hope and love are blank words only
A sanctuary that won’t be
