Gallery of Ghouls features heavy metal tales & is a collection of musical stories with a cast of characters, each with their own concept song or album that presents an array of styles, textures & imagery to all suit the telling of a narrative through music. "Ghost Train of Myersville" is a mind melding song about the haunted thoughts of a resident in an old town with a tragic past. The story comes with a warning to heed the sound of a phantom train approaching on a certain night of the year. Song will be released on Dec. 15.

Just past the wheat field on the edge of town there is an old set of tracks that are rusted in the ground.
They are from an old rail line that used to pass through but now the town is old & dusty & it’s broken down.
There was a tragedy one fateful night back in the 1929 when the town was full and bright.
The train came speeding and then blasted off the tracks killing everyone at the station, and it caused an awful wreck.
There is a certain time of year & a certain time of night when the Ghost Train of Myersville decides to shine its light. You can hear it blaring from the hills like howling from the dead. The sound of the train coming will fill your heart with dread.
I am drawn to the tracks like others before me to get a firsthand look of it pass by before your very eyes
I heard the tale from when I was child and now that that Ghost Train of Myersville won't leave my mind alone.
If you are out there on that dark & star filled night you may not stay alive for that's the moment you could die.
It likes to take souls on its travel through this realm we never know where it goes
Back to Hell? Maybe so,
They'll find your body on the tracks in the morning light. With no explanation as to why you died that night. So, on February 3rd stay clear of the tracks, don't even go near, for the Ghost Train of Myersville may come back.

A while back I reviewed a Willow Ash album for RavensBane Magazine. I really enjoyed it, but said I wished there had been more "Cradle My Sig" style songs on the record. House of Earth: Retrospect scratches that particular itch, even if most of the album is at a slower tempo. Here Guest is playing to all his strengths. The music is heavy, sludgy, and raw with interludes of weirdness and samples that fit the overall feel of the record. The vocals are spot on blackened death-doom screams.
