Dos Brujos Fantastic compilation! We are glad being part of it! Hard to pick one from all of this great songs... If we were asked "pick on or die" we would go for Green Hog's Prince Lord, we love the energy of these dudes!
TOMMY MOTHER FUCKING JOHNSON®️

TOMMY MOTHER FUCKING JOHNSON®️ Man what a theme! What a line-up! What great music! These bands do an excellent job of capturing the atmosphere surrounding the topic of these Aztec/me-so American stories! This bangs for sure!
Lords of the night indeed! I cannot chose a favorite song yet, but the PROFESSOR ELECTRIC song is heavy! Favorite track: Professor Electric - Smoke (Tezcatlipoca).
Sinister Exaggerator

Sinister Exaggerator Brilliant concept, design and execution. Broad variety of styles here, and ALL of the bands are down with the program. The result is a special album that doesn’t just showcase the songs but really plays them off each other. I couldn’t pick a favorite track if I had too, and there were some nice surprises here for me. Congrats to all involved!

From the north a hurricane Lord of the near & nigh Reflection Obsidian Raise the beating heart to the sky Smoke God of the night turns into the sun He by whom we live

I am the devil with the silver tongue breathe in hard while i squeeze your lungs what on earth have you become now prepare for the unwelcome one the greatest trick i ever pulled you don’t think i exist set fire to your golden fields just to see you get pissed i’m the one who gives you bad habits gave you the sickle just so you could have it have you ever seen a finer blade look at my face look around you there’s no way out look around you i control your doubts from the tops of temples i see your fate i’m the one who gives you bad habits gave you the sickle just so you could have it have you ever seen a finer blade look at my face

Well, the first hour of the night is always burning bright 'cause it belongs to the god of fire Xiuhtecuhtli ancient deity father of the gods in a turquoise spire Huehueteotl was the old god but maybe he's the same as me some people say that I'm the north star they gave me my own ceremony in gratitude, they spit their food into the hearth and burn a human sacrifice after removing the heart so in summary, Xiuhtecuhtli lord of fire
4.
Summon demons for the lecture they speak Wise men know nothing of a warrior's grave God of white lies was listening made a map to the river of gold Ancient glories are impossible until I found the river of gold God of wonder was listening Until I drown in the river of gold Keep going in the dark the vision has shown Someone else's saviour, invisible God of white lies was listening made a map to the river of gold Told Stories are impossible until I found the river of gold God of wonder was listening Until I drown in the river of gold

The music is 29 measures of 9 to make the lunar calendar from which the gods ruled the 9 nights in cycle. We found a few demonstrations online from which we gathered the various Aztec instrumentation. We found a couple of Death Whistle demos which we used as well. Greg tried to match the Death Whistle sound with his voice -- there is a surprise at the end.

She's The God, of filth and shame Fills your mind, with guilt and blame Vice and sin, are her evil rites Adulteress God, of the night Spreads Disease, for your sins Eats your filth, as she grins Goddess of black, cleans your soul Liquid gold, will make you whole Rotten bodies, feed the earth Eating our pain, makes us hurt Putrid waste, through the land Eats your shit, and takes command The Cycle of death, feeds new life We fight the night, don't want to die In life we cycle, towards our death But In the end, there's nothing left

Floods are sent by the gods of the amazon To wipe out impurity, the cleansing has begun The earth shall disappear, submerged for a year Mountaintops will go, all men will perish under the flow Adrift on a raft made of cypress wood There Teocipatli was the one who withstood Floating upon the great deluge, till the gods decree The water shall retire and the e water shall retire and the earth reborn, no longer consumed by the sea Floods are sent by the gods of the amazon To wipe out immurity, the cleansing has begun Arriving at the mountain of Colhuacan Tezpi disembarks, onto the sacred land Floods are sent by the gods of the amazon To wipe out immurity, the cleansing has begun

Tlaloc is the provider of water, the source of life. Tlaloc can coexist in harmony with the creatures of the Earth. But humans don't respect the Earth, and they don't respect Mother Nature. Their hubris is going to bring their doom because storms, rivers, and oceans are much more powerful than them. Humans have been polluting and exploiting the Earth for a long time, and the forces (or gods) of the Earth's atmosphere are going to take revenge.

THANKS TO THE SWAMP KREWE FOR THEIR EARLY REVIEWS --

"Great stuff! I really dig the mystical subject matter. Such a cool theme. The tunes are all great. One of my favorites is Blaise's track. Quite different vocally than what I've heard from him so far. I love it. Doomy, Psychedelic. Perfect. The Green Hog track is another favorite. Just doomy, jammy goodness. Looking forward to the full release!" says TXMetalDude bandcamp.com/jerryfrausto

"Aztec Night Gods as told by The Swamp. From the languid vapors arise Professor Electric's ritualistic and haunting ode to Tezcatilpoca (smoke) only to summon Dead Panda to rip your beating punk heart from your chest. A Crow Ballad narrative song lightens the mood in true candy-floss hay bale fashion which segues to a synthy organ-esque tale of the River of Gold by Blaise the Seeker. Green Hog Band let the imagery of the Prince Lord flow through their instruments in their signature fuzz laden sound. And had you forgotten a theme of bloodlust, mystery and foreboding was the agenda, CIA Hippie Mind Contol demonically drive that nail home in a blood-curdling manner sure to appease one of the many gods that needs to be satisfied." says Justinuff bandcamp.com/justinuff

"There’s a kind of a menacing and trippy vibe to this that fits really well with the concept, and ties everything together" says Sinister Exaggerator bandcamp.com/sinister_exaggerator

"These songs dig deep into a long forgotten and largely misunderstood culture which I have always found to be very intriguing and interesting. Each tune pulls you in and takes you on a trip back through time with trippy & groovy doom/psych laden tunes. All the musicians involved are amazing and from what I heard so far, have really outdone themselves in this collaboration, I cannot even begin pick a favorite here!" says MetalManiac333 bandcamp.com/MetalManiac333
